Minister Ring to visit Sligo on Thursday

Day-long visit starting in Enniscrone

11.00 AM:  Minister to meet with Deputy Tony McLoughlin and local Fine Gael members at Enniscrone Golf Club in order to pay a courtesy visit to the Golf Club and meet with its staff and officials.

11.30 AM:  Minister to visit Waterpoint Leisure Centre in Enniscrone:  The leisure centre will unveil their new three year plan for Waterpoint to the Minister.

12.00 PM:  Visit to Enniscrone Soccer Club or Enniscrone-Kilglass GAA Club. The club received €40,000 under the Sports Capital Grants Scheme.  

12.30 PM:  Travel to Sligo Town. (Roughly 50 Mins Travel).

1.20 PM: Visit to Sligo Rovers FC. Meeting with Manager Owen Heary, and Kevin Colreavy and Chairman of Sligo Rovers FC.  

1.40 PM: Visit to Ursuline/Yeats College Hockey Pitch – recipients of €300,000 Sports Capital Funding.

2.30 PM:  (Main Event) Killaspibrone Walk Launch*Strandhill Co. Sligo. Photograph with Minister and project partners on Dorrins Strand. Reconvene at Sligo Airport for the Launch, the following speakers will address the audience: Sligo County Cllr Joe Queenan, Chris Gonley, CEO Sligo Leader Partnership and Deputy Tony McLoughin.

3.30-3.45 PM: Visit Sligo Rugby Club, Strandhill Co. Sligo, for photograph. Club recipient of €50,000 Sports Capital Funding.

3.45-4.00 PM: Visit Sligo GAA Centre of Excellence, Scarden, Co. Sligo for photograph. Centre recipient of €300,000 Sports Capital Funding. Meeting with centre executive and a number county players.

4.00 PM: Visit to Coolera-Strandhill. Recipient of €40,000 Sport Capital Funding.
