Seven hopefuls to tell members why they want to be president.

Sligo is laying on the red carpet as the local county council prepares to welcome candidates aiming to step up as the next occupant of Aras an Uachtaráin.
Some seven hopefuls are expected to make presidential pitches to the elected members later in the month, on September 12.
The support of four local authorities is the minimum requirement to secure a place on the presidential ballot paper. Otherwise, candidates will have to look to 20 members of the Oireachtas to get themselves in the race.
Presentations to the Sligo councillors will likely be brief. According to sources, the authority is proposing to limit speaking time to 10 minutes.
The meeting is open to the public.
Members of the neighbouring Leitrim local authority have already heard presentations by candidates Sean Gallagher, Patrick Feeney, Sarah Louise Mulligan and Peter Casey.
