SCC OfficesMAJOR WORKS

BALLYMOTE  AREA:

Road works will commence on the R284 at Sooey. Traffic control will be in operation with minimal delays expected.

The installation of a safety barrier will commence on the R296 at Carrownanty, Ballymote. Traffic control will be in place with minimal disruption expected. Works will last for two days.

TUBBERCURRY  AREA:

Site Investigation works are programmed to start on Tuesday the 4th August between Tubbercurry and Annagh Bridge on the R294.  Traffic Management will be in place and minor delays are expected.
 Works are expected to last 4 weeks but will not be taking place between the 9th and 14th of August.

Footpath Repair works will continue on the N17 along Church Street, Tubbercurry – weather permitting. Traffic control will be in operation with significant delays expected. Work will last 2 days. 

ENNISCRONE  AREA:

Verge trimming will continue on the N59 from Ballysadare to the Mayo border.  A Stop/Go system will be in operation. Minor delays expected.

Verge trimming will continue on the R297 from the Mayo border to Dromore West.  A Stop/Go system will be in operation. Minor delays expected.

Verge trimming will continue on the R298 from Lackancahill to Tullylin.  A Stop/Go system will be in operation. Minor delays expected.

BALLYSADARE  AREA:

N59 in Ballysadare

Road works will be continuing on the N59 in Ballysadare (between the entrance to Millview Park and the Ballina side of the current 60 kph speed limit zone).

Associated traffic delays should be expected over the course of the contract duration. Sligo County Council and Gerald Love Contracts will endeavour to minimise the effects of the works where possible and regret any inconvenience which may be caused.

 MINOR WORKS

SLIGO CITY AREA:

A Scaffolding licence has been granted for Ulster Bank.  Works are expected to last 12 weeks.  Some parking spaces will be lost.  Minimal traffic disruption expected.

A Scaffolding licence has been granted for The Embassy/Toffs Niteclub, JFK Parade. Works are expected to last 1 week. No traffic disruption expected.

A Road Opening Licence has been granted for works on Circular Road, just off Pearse Road. Some traffic disruption expected.

Footpath Repairs to take place on the Link Road between Benbulben Terrace & St. John’s Terrace.

Footpath Repairs to take place on the eastern end of Stephen Street (from the entrance at Stephen Street car park to the McDermott Creed and Martyn building).  No traffic disruption expected.

SLIGO /STRANDHILL AREA:

Surface dressing will take place on various roads namely L277, L289, L281 and R287 and expected to last approximately 3 days (weather permitting). Some traffic disruption expected.

Wall set-back and road improvements will take place on the old R292 at The Bridge, Strandhill.

Gully cleaning will take place in various locations. Minimal traffic disruption expected.

ENNISCRONE  AREA:

Pothole repair works will continue in the Enniscrone area. Traffic control will be in operation. Minor delays expected.

TUBBERCURRY  AREA:

Pothole repair works will continue in the Tubbercurry area. Traffic control will be in operation but no delays are expected.
